This year’s rookie class, if you haven’t noticed, doesn’t get as much playing time as rookies usually do, despite all the injuries across the league.

Look at the red bar on the chart, showing that in the first 15 games, only 11 rookies are getting 20 minutes per game:

But even though a large portion of the 2024 NBA draft class has yet to beat our low expectations — “among the worst in history” — or get much of an opportunity yet, some rookies have already shown they are potential difference-makers.

One month into the season, here is my mostly subjective ranking of the 10 rookies who have done the most within their roles. I’ve included some of the advanced stats I consulted for this ranking, but ultimately the rankings are a judgment call.
