I did Justin Jacobs' RAPM back in 2019. This post made me want to get my hands back on data and try stuff. First time in a while, maybe the nostalgic effect. Thanks for this! it's super clear
I'm in the works of building a tool that uses stats, data, and sports card prices to find underrated players and their corresponding cards to go up in price and think this article will be extremely useful in creating that. Thank you!
The old celti cs of bird and company... Danny ainge and Dennis Johnson... Everyone hated playing them. Ignuadila... People sod not want to play him. Hugo gobzale may be the new iguadala
Great stuff fantastically useful. Interesting how the eye test suggested you don't win with Trae or LeMelo.. Or zach laVine. But I think there must be psychological factors buried... Counter eye test... I think Evan mobley is overrated but Craig Porter Jr is underrated. And maybe I'm wrong. I'm sure better examples exist for guys that nobody 'likes " playing against
one final thought. My strongest 'take the under' play at the start of the season was New York. I said losing Thibs would cost the Knicks, conservatively, five wins. The regression in coaching is more dramatic than I thought. So you take KAT-- thibs MADE him accountable. Well, as much as is humanely possible. Brown hasnt And wont. Thibs hid the weaknesses of brunson and Bridges. Now some of this has nothing to do with the coach. Brunson was already wearing down. My point is that Thibs adjusts (despite being famous for NOT adjusting) and inspires guys to play D. Its hard to quantify that stufff. But i was proved right I would say.

Anyone know of a git repo with a skeleton of this stuff so I can run some analysis locally?
I am not aware whether such a thing exists. Sorry
